Memory Care

Our Alzheimer’s and Dementia Program

Our Memory Care Program is designed similar to our Assisted Living program. Residents are assessed and care plans are formed based on the individual needs and preferences of the resident. The Memory Care Program includes the same amenities as assisted living, such as 3 meals and day, and housekeeping, private apartments and bathrooms, as well as common areas for dining and activities. The program is located in a secure, designated area of the senior community. Our nursing, activities programs, and staffing are all Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care specific.

Catering to Residents with Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care

We understand our Memory Care residents need additional attention and specific care. We cater to their needs through consistent staffing so our employees and residents can be more acquainted. This relationship helps the resident feel more comfortable in their surroundings and let’s our staff better understand the resident’s needs. The result of consistent staffing is our residents participating more often in planned activities and socializing.

Additional services to ensure proper care include:

  • State of the art Comprehensive Assessment Plan
  • Individualized service plans to meet specific Activities of Daily Living
  • 3-Meals a day plus snacks
  • Weekly personal laundry services; additional laundry services available*
  • Weekly housekeeping services
  • Dedicated Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care staffing on site 24-hours per day
  • Medication Management and Medication Administration
  • Coordination and scheduling of medical appointments*

*Additional Costs May Apply

Encouragement through Social, Therapeutic and Physical Activities

Each month Alzheimer’s and Dementia specific activities for memory care are planned. Because the Emblem Senior Care staff is well-acquainted with the residents, we are able to get to know the likes and dislikes of our residents which results in increased participation. Example activities could be Music and Memory, “Walk Down Memory Lane” (telling stories), Bible Trivia, News & Current Events, Prayer/Meditation, BINGO, Daily Walk-About, Seniorcize, and more.
